Submit an Article

To submit an article, email LYCSubmissions@Protonmail.com with the following information. 

– Your Legal Name 
– Your Pen Name (If Applicable) 
– Topic and Brief Summary of Your Article
– The Attached Article in DocX or PDF Format
– A Proposed Image (600×1000), preferably images available in the Creative Commons
– Additional information that is important for the Editorial Board to know

Editorial Standards

To ensure quality and to protect the identity of Mises Magazine and the Liberty Youth Coalition, we ask that all submissions abide by the following guidelines: 

SYTLE GUIDE
Submissions should be written in formal English (proper grammar, avoiding the first person, no contractions, etc); should be no less than 550 words (1 page single-spaced) and no greater than 3,000 words (6 pages). Submissions that do not meet the minimum length will not be considered. An author may submit articles in two parts but must notify the Editorial Board.

Please provide a cover image (600×1000) to go with the submission. We encourage you to use images that are in the public domain. Images not in the public domain may be used if they are owned by the author. If the author owns and provides the image, you relinquish all rights to it. Our staff reserves the right to use or replace the image you provide without notice. 

PUBLICATION RIGHTS
Upon final approval of a submission, the original author retains the right to submit his submission to other publishers AFTER its publication in Mises Magazine. The author is required to notify the Editorial Board if the article is submitted to another publication. Failure to do so may result in his future submissions being disregarded. 

The LYC and Mises Magazine retain the exclusive right to publish articles submitted to them for print, audio, or vide publications. Upon submission, the author surrenders any and all rights to the article in the print, audio, and video format. 

SPELLING & GRAMMAR
The Editorial Board will correct any and all spelling and obvious grammatical errors. The Editorial Board may do so with or without notice.

POSTPUBLICATION EDITING
If you believe that an change or lack of a change to your article has a negative affect on your piece, please contact us with issue. This does not guarantee that editing will be done after publication. 

VISION AND RELEVANCE
Articles should demonstrate a strong understanding of basic economics, political theory, and current events. Should you consistently submit articles that contain a stream of incoherence, misinformation, or lack of understanding this will result in future submissions not being considered.

Submissions that are in direct opposition to the worldview of
Mises Magazine and the LYC will not be considered.

AUTHOR PRIVACY POLICY
The Editorial Board permits authors to submit articles anonymously or using a pen name. However, we request that you pick realistic pseudonyms. Mises Magazine staff reserves the right to either change your name or list you as an unnamed contributor if you fail to follow this guideline when submitting your article. If your pen name is “Mary Juana”, or something similar your article may be disregarded. Please do not waste your time or ours.
